The current series of Top Gear is already having a tough time with ratings plummeting and differences between hosts Chris Evans and new guy Matt LeBlanc so it comes as no surprise that Evans has decided to call it quits. The seasons finale on Sunday drew only 1.9 million viewers (the lowest for the series) prompting Evans to post the following on his Twitter account.
This comes after rumours that LeBlanc threatened to quit if Evans didn’t leave first as well as old sexual assault allegations against Evans surfaced.
This from Jalopnik.
“Things have gone from bad to extremely worse for Chris Evans, who announced his resignation from Top Gear earlier today. That resignation came mere hours after London police confirmed Evans is being investigated for a reported sexual assault dating back to the 1990s.”
Now you know.
