The Louis Botha statue outside parliament in Cape Town has been defaced [pic]
Posted by on Apr 9th, 2015

It was officially announced last night that the Cecil John Rhodes statue will be removed from the University of Cape Town grounds today, but it seems that won’t be the end of the debate especially after the statue of Louis Botha outside parliament was defaced overnight.

If you don’t know who he is let me school you quickly…

Louis Botha (27 September 1862 – 27 August 1919) was an Afrikaner and first Prime Minister of the Union of South Africa—the forerunner of the modern South African state. A Boer war hero during the Second Boer War, he would eventually fight to have South Africa become a British Dominion.”

Now you know.
