Remember Afroman? That dude who sang ‘Because I Got High’? He pretty much disappeared after that song, but is now back in the spotlight for punching a woman in the face after she got on stage to dance while he was performing. The incident was captured on video and he was arrested immediately after.
He says it was ‘completely involuntary reflex reaction’.
Here’s the video.
According to TMZ and Billboard…
“Afroman continued to play even after the woman hit the ground hard, bleeding and crying, until the house lights came on and the music stopped. Then security reportedly helped the woman offstage, while police took Afroman away and handcuffed him outside the venue. “
His rep told Billboard “”This was a completely involuntary reflex reaction to people infringing on his stage space,” his rep said in a prepared statement. “It was uncharacteristic behavior that was initiated by outside uncontrolled forces.” [Billboard]
