  • Durban priest selling holy water for R10 claiming it cures HIV/Aids
Posted by on Nov 6th, 2013

We have a current president who once said taking a shower after unprotected sex will lower the risk of HIV transmission and we have a former president who once denied that HIV causes AIDS.  No surprise then that a Durban priest with thousands of followers is selling holy water for at least R10 a bottle claiming it cures HIV/Aids.

Bishop Hamilton Nala in Durban says people can be healed of Aids with his holy water. But of course his holy service is not free…his followers have to pay up to R15.

And oh…he asked his followers not to get him into trouble with the law by continuing to take their ARV medication.

The Treatment Action Campaign group is calling bullsh*t and shaking their head at Bishop Nala though and are demanding that his miracle remedy undergo clinical trials.

“But the priest says the tests won’t make a difference to his followers.

“They must say medically there is no cure for Aids. I agree with that, but through prayer and through faith water and any material branded my name, as God said prophetically, I believe in that. People can be healed of Aids,” said Nala.

The TAC has warned that if the so-called holy water fails the clinical trials, it will push for Nala to be arrested.” [eNCA]

And here’s video footage of the priest.

    Sigh.

Hmmmm! Business is booming! Only a fool will believe such hogwash. I believe in miracles, and I believe in healing through faith, but this! No, no, no, no! This happens to be an opportune time for so-called holy water marketing campaign as all eyes are on World Aids Day. I feel very disturbed by Bi-Shops going around taking the holy name of God in vain. The whole ‘holy water’ fiasco is a scam!!! I don’t care how much ‘respect’ the so-called bishop commands, there is nowhere God has ever asked a mortal to put his name on any material in order for people to be healed. Read through the whole Bible: God will not have anyone share His glory. Who is Hamilton Nala? Has he been to any cross to die for anyone? I’m amazed that people can be so easily fooled by money-mongers and can’t even see right through them! This is a classic case of “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6). All this is false prophecy (2 Peter 2:1-3) aimed at discrediting the integrity of God and the true Church of Jesus Christ. All this holy this and holy that nonsense is downright un-scriptural and people should not pay attention to such covetous preachers. There is no other name in heaven and earth by which men can be saved, healed or delivered except the Name of Jesus Christ (Philippians 2:9-11). The guy is even self-contradictory: if the water can cure then what need is there of ARVs with it? Can you imagine how many bottles of water one person will have to buy for who knows how long in order to take the ARVs? This is pure mathematics aimed at making gain out of the people of God. I ask again: Has Hamilton ever gone to the cross to die for any man? He’s even afraid to get into trouble for what he believes. What then does he stand for? Judge for yourself!
