The Dutch are starting to use glow in the dark road markings by mid-2013 [video]
Posted by on Jan 10th, 2013

How’s this for a rad idea hey…by the middle of 2013 a Dutch town will begin introducing photoluminescent powder into paint that will result in glow in the dark road markings. The white lines on roads will charge during the day and glow for 10 hours while the sun is down. The South African department of transport should look into that…so many sections of our roads without street lights.

The Dutch roads will also come with markings that are temperature activated and only appear when the temperature drops below zero to warn drivers of slippery roads.

Very clever…and a good business opportunity for someone in SA. Get that powder here, get a governemnet contract.
