A new start-up, Golden Spike Co, created by former NASA directors and executives is offering round trips to the moon to anyone with some spare change… a mere $750 million (or just over R6.5 billion) will book you seat with 2020 seen as a plausible date for the intial trip.
They still need to work out some kinks, but apparently will use commercial rockets like that of SA born Elon Musk’s Space-X.
Yep…that could be you. Why you’d drop that amount of money to go walk around on a dusty barren lanscape is beyond me, but hey it’s your money so do your thing. You have to wear a suit and everything…meh.

Don’t think I’ve quite got that amount of spare cash, but if I was mega-rich I definitely would be interested!! Imagine being off the planet and seeing it from the moon etc, crazy!

Even if I had that sort of cash, I wouldn’t waste it on seeing a bleak environment…
Plenty of other ways to spend money …
