But before you get your taste buds watering lemme tell you how to get your hands on those 2 Beijing deals ….each deal consists of two medium meals and normal side (that’s steamed rice, egg fried rice or smokey noodles).

When I moved to town recently, I was pretty sad that we wouldn’t be able to go to our “local” chinese place anymore, and was a bit nervous of trying out a new place (would I be cheating on the local? would I get food poisoning? HORSE-MEAT SWEET AND SOUR?!) the panic was endless.

Then, luckily, my colleague told me about Monk’s opening and i decided to try it out. Needless to say, it’s AMAZING and they DELIVER!!!! All my fears of not finding chinese food up to standard are all gone. We’ve found our new local.

(Please give me the Beijing meal, I’m hungry)

Monk’s is my absolute BEST! The food is fresh, and not too oily… perfect for a healthy dinner! I love that their food comes in Chinese Food boxes (made my day the first time I saw this!) Their delivery boys are steamy too 😛

If Monk’s had an actual restaurant they would kill it, but I will have to accept takeaways for now. Not complaining because it’s simply the best Chinese food in Cape Town.

I challenge anyone to prove me wrong. And don’t you dare say that shithole in Sea Point that sold shark fin soup.
