Ok so if you follow @lifeissavage on the Twitter you will no doubt have seen me talk about doing a little health and exercise experiment lately. Have delayed it for a couple of weeks (ok months…fine since January), but it’s on for the month of September. It is after all spring and i’ve got to get my sh*t together for summer. Can’t go walking around on Camps Bay with the excess back fat that has been piling on during winter. Havn’t been to gym in months and it feels like all the beer i’ve consumed is hibernating in my ass. So i’m gonna give it horns for a month and see how much of an improvement i can make within 30 days. And since i’m rather lazy i’ve enlisted the help of online experts Hybrid Nutrition who are gonna help me with training advice, diet and all my supplement needs…hence the Hybrid Nutrition September Challenge.

    Hybrid Nutrition

Hybrid Nutrition is based in Cape Town and a quick visit to their website HERE will reveal how extensive their range of supplements is. Went through the list of products with Andrew Miskin and he quickly recommended some quality protein and a few other products that will optimize fat loss and build lean muscle. It arrived at my door with 2 days..the average time frame when you place an order.

Not gonna tell you which products i’m using just yet and the plan is for you to guess one you see the results at the end of September. I’ll give you a hint though..it’s one of the best selling brands available and is praised by athletes the world over.

Right..so here’s my stats right now as i stand.

    • height: 179 cm
    • weight: 75 kg’s
    • body fat percentage: 16 %
    • fitness level: kak

And my objectives for the month are to get my weight down to 71 kg’s and my body fat percentage under 10 %. My fitness level is proper kak at the moment and a 20 min run is likely to burst my lungs. I’m planning on running 5 km every morning for the first half of September and then adding another 5km before sunset in the second half. Hopefully i’ll be able to run 10 km in under 50 min by the end of it.

I’ll do a weekly post every Friday detailing my progress including pics and since this is the first post…here my before pic. Don’t laugh. As my mate Niki says…love handles were considered sexy back in ancient times.

Let it be known that taking pics of yourself in a mirror does not make you feel like a celebrity, but more like a tool.

Sorry for the blurry pic in jean pant. Lighting in the bathroom isn’t the best and for damn i’m not taking pics in my underpant. Legs…f**k em.

Right..wish me luck. Not drinking any beer so i’m gonna need it.

Also if you wanna join the Hybrid Nutrition September Challenge then let’s do it together. Give Andrew a call or visit Hybrid Nutrition HERE for more details and also to have a look at all the rad products they have. Prices are lank cheap.

What… That’s ridiculous, you need a diet like Zuma needs another wife. Give me a crack at it, then we’ll see how they work!

Wow. If you need a diet, I need liposuction and quite possibly gastric bypass surgery too. Good luck man!
