Best Of Cape Town 2012 – Who makes the best curry? [poll]
Posted by on Aug 16th, 2012

Right, it’s a rather slow day on the internets and it’s been a while since i’ve done a Best Of Cape Town 2012 poll. I’ve been saving up on them and to be honest i was waiting for something in particular, but i may as well do one in the mean time. If you don’t know what the deal is with Best Of Cape Town 2012 then let me explain quickly – it’s basically a go-to list for anyone wanting to know where in Cape Town they can find …for example the best burger, or pizza or coffee etc. But the list isn’t compiled by experts or food guru’s..its entirely crowd sourced by locals. Because why?…locals know best. So i throw out a poll on Life is Savage and you fine readers comment or make suggestions on Twitter or Facebook and i go count all the votes and then i make a top 10. Easy as that…in the past we’ve had amazing responses for Best Burger, Best Sushi, Best Coffee, Best Pizza and Best Mexican Food…and you can view all the top 10 results HERE.

And now it’s time for a new poll my little bum fluff..and since it’s winter and rather cold in Cape Town i thought it’s rather fitting to find out the following:

Where in Cape Town do you go for the best curry?

best curry

And as is the case with all the previous polls..this is entirely based on votes. The nomination with the most votes will be ranked number one. Feel free though to leave a comment beneath this post justifying your is it an India restaurant or a Thai one, price, portion size, variety of choice, how spicy it is, restaurant vibe or ambience etc.

If you make a nomination on Twitter then please use the following hashtags #BestOfCapeTown2012 and #BestCurry  along with choice so i can track the results.

Now let’s hear it..who makes the best curry in Cape Town?

Bukhara – Church Street, Cape Town. Little bit pricey, awesome chilled ambience, fantastic service.

Bombay Chilli in Muizenberg. Spicy, a wide menu, and naan-bread that’s just the way I like them. Besides, decor that’s not over-the-top, and not overpriced like some places are. Good food without ostentation.
