Scientists at Large Hadron Collider 99.999% sure they found the God Particle
Posted by on Jul 5th, 2012

Nerd boner alert.

Scientists at the Large Hadron Collider have revealed that they have almost certainly detected the elusive Higgs boson or the ‘God particle’…a key subatomic particle that gives matter mass and which holds the fabric of the universe together.

Don’t ask me what the below graphic is that the scientist people released in their report. For all i know it may as well be a pic of Pikachu’s dingleberries.

Anyways..for all you smarty pants folks (all 4 of you who got this far), they released their findings and had the following to say

“Professor John Womersley, chief executive of the Science and technology Facilities Council, told reporters at a briefing in London: “They have discovered a particle consistent with the Higgs boson.

“Discovery is the important word. That is confirmed. It’s a momentous day for science.” [Telegraph]

Hooray for science.

And for all you non-scientifically minded people who are wondering what the discovery means to us regular folks..well apparently it could spawn a new era of technology and blah blah blah let’s all laugh when they spell Large Hadron Collider as Large Hardon Collider.
