‘Korea’s Got Talent’ homeless kid is wow [video]
Posted by on Jun 7th, 2011

Ok you all remember that Susan Boyle lady on Britain’s Got Talent that flawed everyone a couple of years back right? Well how’s this kid from Korea that was put in an orphanage when he was three, but escaped because he got beaten up there. He lived on the street alone from the age of 5…yes you heard me..5 years old.

Well Sung-Bong Choi entered Korea’s Got Talent and…oh just watch dammit.

And grab a tissue.

Didn’t expect that did you. Snot and trane all round.

Ok, now that’s out of the way can i just throw in my 2 cents. It may come across as cold and insensitive, but am i the only person who is calling bullsh*t on this. Didn’t it look staged to you? Im getting tired of these talent shows throwing in these heartfelt emotional stories. Is there a memo that got passed around saying that every episode of every damn talent show has to end with some sob story about somebody who overcame the odds and then all the judges cry and people hug it out back stage?

I’m being lank cynical, but don’t lie…i know you say the same sh*t on your couch.

And if that was indeed genuine then ignore my rant and  full credit to this kid.

Hope he wins it then.

Anyone who has Bong as a first name is a winner in my book.

Hi Savage – I totally agree!! All these “got talent” shows seem fake, a scam, and it sounds scripted to me. He looks far too healthy to have “lived on the streets” for 10 years. And his voice sounds to me like he has had extensive training; not to mention his confidence when he sings!

This is too much like Susan Boyle, who walked out and they laughed at her – just like they laughed when he said he did manual labor work. You probably know that these judges have heard the singers ahead of time, yet they pretend like they’ve heard them for the first time. Fake, fake, fake!!! I hope I’m wrong, but I don’t think so. Either way, I wish this kid success. I just hope he’s honest.
