Footage of London machete attackers rushing police and getting shot emerges [video]

Ya..some rather bleak footage for a Friday, but for those of you following the story of the two guys who killed a British soldier using a meat clever and a machete-like knife, some new footage of the attack has emerged. Yesterday saw video of one of the attackers speaking to onlookers after the attack and now this video has been released showing the attackers running at police and coming within arms-length of officers before getting shot.

Warning- graphic content.

Doesn’t look like they intended to talk it out.

The motives behind the attck and why they killed that particular soldier are still unclear.

Ya hey…havn’t done a Friday morning music post in ages so i thought you could use some musical happification to make the weekend arrive faster. Today’s choice is relatively new compared to the usual old school rock, but quite frankly it’s proving more an more difficult to find live versions of those classic rock anthems. I’ve pretty much covered all the best ones from the 80′s and 90′s so it’s about damn time i move onto some fresher sh*t hey.

I’ve posted a Mumford & Sons live video before so i take it i don’t need to school you on who the English folk rock band is. There Little Lion Man live performance is epic, but this one is right up there so just press play and let the music touch you on your happy.

Cape Town makes TripAdvisor’s Top 25 Destinations in the World 2013 list [pic]

Make some more space in the trophy cabinet because Cape Town has once again picked up some bragging rights by being named in TripAdvisor’s Top 25 Destinations in the World list for 2013. TripAdvisor is one of the world’s largest and most well known travel websites and they every year they announce the world’s best destinations as chosen by millions of travelers.

Ok so we didn’t win it this year (like we did in 2011), but we are up 7 places from last year and i don’t see any other South African city on the list so let’s not be picky hey. Cape Town ranked in 16th place for 2013.

Ok so 16th place doesn’t quite have the same ring to to as Number 1, but hey ‘m not complaining.

Not too shabby for a little fishing village at the bottom of Africa hey.

Top spot this year was given to Paris, followed by NY, London, Rome and Barcelona who rounded out the top 5. See the full list HERE.

Ok i think the lack of bread in my life is making me lose my sh*t because i’m pretty sure this is the first time ever i’ve posted a recipe on Life is Savage. I will happily hand in my man-card for the rest of the day though because it’s not just any recipe. No my friend..this is a recipe to simply make homemade Nutella. Yep…that hazelnutty chocolately sex paste of goodness and it will only take 20 min of your time to make 2 cups worth that will last 2 weeks.

Jean pant criminal spotted training in dirty flared jeans [pic]

Sjoe…it’s been a while since someone sent in a pic of a jean pant criminal hey. It would be naive to think they have been eradicated so i’m just gonna hazard a guess that they’ve been going through a quiet phase. Never-the-less the f**kery of people going to gym and actually working out in jeans is still with us as is evident by this pic sent in yesterday by a reader in Cape Town.

He was kind enough to point out that while it may not be up there with the jean hotpant or the skinny jean pant criminal variety, he believes its the first time someone has been spotted training in flared jeans. Unfortunately he didn’t manage to take a pic of the guy standing so you could see the bell-bottoms, but i’m taking his word for it.

Come now guy…you should be ashamed. Not only are normal people shaking their heads at you training in jeans, but other jean pant criminals are likely to frown upon you for wearing dirty jeans.

Just so you know…using your cat or dog as a beard is an internet thing right now and you are not a true pet lover until you post a cat-bearding or dog-bearding pic so the whole interwebs can see how trendy your sh*t is.

You got a cat or dog..then get involved. If you have a better pic than any of those then post a link in the comment section hey.

There is also cat-breading, but thats a whole different thing after someone made a typo and now people are putting bread slices on their cats heads.

Horrific machete attack on London street – attackers talk to cameras [full video]

In what officials are calling a terror attack in broad daylight on the streets of Woolwich in South London, two machete wielding attackers hacked a British soldier to death with meat cleavers and a machete-like knife. One of the men demanded to be filmed by onlookers and amateur footage of him talking and explaining why he did it has emerged online.

In the video the attacker can be heard saying “we swear by almighty Allah we will never stop fighting you until you leave us alone”. Police arrived on the scene 20 min later and both attackers were shot and taken to nearby hospitals.

There video has been blurred in some parts, but may still be graphic for sensitive viewers.

Police and MI5 are treating the attack as a possible terror incident although experts are saying the attackers were acting as ‘lone wolves’.

“The attackers demanded onlookers take photos and video of the sickening attack.

One brave woman, scout leader Ingrid Loyau-Kennett bravely confronted one of the men, who ranted: “We want to start a war in London tonight.”

She told the man: “Right now it is only you versus many people, you are going to lose, what would you like to do?’, Britain’s Daily Telegraph reported.

Scotland Yard has confirmed two men were arrested over the “shocking and horrific” murder.” [News.com.au]

No doubt this will increase racial tensions in the UK.

I was gonna post this video yesterday, but the website was down for most of the day so didn’t get a chance to do so. It has gone viral, but if by some chance you havn’t seen it yet then brace yourself because it’s guaranteed to pull on your heartstrings. You see…an elderly woman, Barbara Garcia, survived the devastating tornado that killed over 100 people in Moore, Oklahoma two days ago and during a live news interview she was explaining how she had lost her home and beloved dog when a member of the news crew spotted something behind her under the rubble.

A new Man of Steel trailer revealed…gets even more awesome [video]

Seriously…when the Man of Steel movie eventually hits cinemas it better be as awesome as the trailers because i havn’t been this amped to see a movie in years. I showed you the first two trailers a few weeks back and yesterday a new one was released online and pretty much like the first two…it made my balls tingle. Superman Returns was a steaming pile of crap back in 2006 and the new Man of Steel directed by the guy who made 300 looks like its gonna redeem that and more.

And if you didn’t see the initial trailer that convinced me this will be the biggest movie of 2013 then press play. The soundtrack made my sh*t all emotional.

Seriously…i can’t wait.

Who is this Cape Town blonde being questioned in Oscar Pistorius case? [pic]

The Sun, ~~that prime example of journalistic excellence and integrity~~, has thrown out another ‘exclusive’ on the Oscar Pistorius case and published an article about a Cape Town blonde they say has been questioned by police regarding her relationship with Oscar while Reeva Steenkamp was his girlfriend.

The article mentions 26 year old, Erin Joy Shear, as having been investigated by police over claims that she ‘canoodled’, met with and texted Oscar Pistorius in the weeks before the shooting.

The exclusive article HERE included a few more pictures of Erin and i’m assuming they are from Facebook or Twitter, but she has since deleted those accounts.

It is The Sun though so take it with a bucket load of salt.
