Been a while since i did a Daddy Digs It post and quite frankly the last few days on lifeissavage.com have been rather bleak and depressing so let’s lighten sh*t up a bit and spread some joy and happiness hey. And what could bring more happiness than a couch with a built-in beer dispensing unit that fills your cup from the bottom up. Yep…you don’t even have to leave the couch while watching your favourite sport. No mess either pouring beer and having to put the empty bottles somewhere.

You just sit there like king ding-a-ling.

Daddy Digs It – the incredible ADA nature aquarium [pics]

The first Daddy Digs It post of 2013 comes about because i recently bought a smallish fish tank over Christmas and if you follow me on Twitter @lifeissavage you would have seen me sending out a tweet for the best places to buy tropical fish in Cape Town. The tank i got including the sand, filter, light and heater was rather basic, but once i set it up i was pretty proud hey. Then the search for fish began and plenty people recommended Sam’s Aquarium in Bergvliet. I eventually made my way there last week and my mind was blown by the tank right as you walk in. I spoke with the owner and he showed me the catalogue for the latest ADA nature aquariums or Aqua Design Amano created by Takashi Amano. Apparently they are the most sought after fish tanks in the world right now and have quickly overtaken marine tanks as show-off pieces.

Here’s why…in less than a month you can have a tank that looks like this.

Ok maybe those took a tad longer than a month to get right since they are competition winners (see more HERE) , but how insane are those fish tanks!

The guy at Sam’s Aquarium said he could make a pretty decent one in less than a month and i believe him. He had made several already. The only catch is that they are quite pricey. The meter long one he had in the shop was going for about R2500 including the special gravel, rocks and plants, but excluding the lights and fish.

I want one.

Couple of weeks back i started a new category on Life is Savage called Daddy Digs It and as i previously put it…it covers the simple things that i’d dig to have and that i think will make your sh*t look cool. Something to show your mates or people in your office that will make them wish they got it first. Stuff that will make you more awesome and well…not a douchebag.

And i swear this is something daddy wants badly…and any self-respecting guy will want as well. It will make you manly andawesome and rad all at the same time. It is glorious and you’re gonna kick yourself for not thinking of this first.

Behold..i give you the BROpener…turn any surface into a bottle opener.

Daddy Digs It: these bluetooth stickers let you find lost things with a smart phone app [video]

Ya hey…if you didn’t catch it last week then let me school you quickly. I started new category on Life is Savage that features random items that you readers may enjoy. Doesn’t have to be expensive…just something that i’d dig to have and that will make your sh*t look cool. Something to show your mates or people in your office that will make them wish they got it first. Stuff that will make you more awesome and well… not a douchebag.Like this handy little gadget.

Bluetooth stickers that you attach to car keys, the tv remote, pets, kids…your crazy ass girlfriend etc. They have a 30 meter range and work with the Stick N Find smart phone application that will pinpoint the location of the sticker. It even has a notification setting that will alert you when a sticker comes into range on your phone…very handy i’m guessing when stuck onto crazy ass girlfriend person.

You can use several at once and it will show you all of them within the 30 meter radius.
