A picture is worth a thousand words and some photographs will go down in history as capturing a certain moment that shaped the world we currently live in…none more so than the 100 Most Influential Images of All Time released by TIME magazine yesterday. They spent the past 3 years working with historians, editors, photographers and curators to put together the 100 most influential photographs and the stories behind them.
Do yourself a favour and go through them.
A South African photograph was included in the list and not surprisingly it is Sam Nzima’s image of Hector Pietersen take during the Soweto uprising on June 16, 1976.
As are these which you will surely recognise.
There are of course 95 other influential images on the list HERE so head on over to TIME and learn some history.
