  • Win 2 sets of double tickets to EFC 55 in Cape Town to see Sayed vs Pena, Madge vs Mazany and more
Posted by on Nov 2nd, 2016

UPDATE: Madge has pulled out due to injury and Mazany will now fight Leon Mynhardt.

The EFC once again returns to Cape Town next week on the 11th November at GrandWest Arena with probably the best fight card of the entire year. All eyes will be the fight between local favourite and interim bantamweight titleholder Irshaad “White Tiger” Sayed who fights reigning champion Demarte “The Wolf” Pena as well as Don ‘Magic Man’ Madge who is fighting Lightweight Champion Dave Mazany. Both fights should be epic and then there’s the rest of the card which sees some of the best MMA fighters in SA taking part so you wanna watch live then get involved because i have 2 sets of double tickets to give away to you fine folks.

Just look at this fight card.

    efc 55

    Outstanding talent in that lineup.

Right now here’s how you can win those tickets. The first set of tickets is going to someone on Twitter and the second set to someone who leaves a comment beneath this post. First up…

On Twitter you must follow @EFCworldwide and me @lifeissavage so i can track the entries.

Then send out the following tweet:

Win 2 sets of double tickets to #EFC55 in CT to see Sayed vs Pena, Madge vs Mazany and more. Details here http://bit.ly/2fhhxjb

The other set of tickets will go to someone who leaves a comment beneath this post.

Head on over to EFC Worldwide HERE and leave a comment beneath this post telling me which other fights you are most looking forward to and who you think is gonna win. Feel free to impress me with your MMA knowledge.

That or just be your usual, desperate, funny, bribing self and leave a comment that’s creative or awesome. Or both.

Easy as that. Will pick winners next week Wednesday.

Now get to it. Obviously you need to be in Cape Town to go see the event and get there by your own transport.

UPDATE: Asked a random person at a coffee shop to pick a comment winner and they chose Melanie. Thanks everyone for the rad comments. Wish i could give you all tickets.

Pena vs Sayed because Pena needs to shut Sayed up once and for all. As a bonus, Madge must lose too.

Wow would be awesome to go watch it. I think Don Madge have improved and the fight between him and the lightweight Champion Dave Mazany are going to be awesome. I cant wait to see for Nutrition to reclaim his title.

To be honest, I have zero MMA knowledge on local fighters bar a rather unhealthy fascination with Conor McGregor. Would love to see a fight live and take the boyfriend. Expand my knowledge :)

Cape Town has truly been blessed with this card. Two title fights in the main and co-main event, both of which are going to be jaw-dropping spectacles. We finally get to see the long overdue fight every fan has been waiting for, Pena vs Sayed, without a doubt the biggest fight in EFC history (Prediction: Sayed wins. Cape Town needs a champ!).

With all the hype surrounding the two title fights, some may have forgotten the depth of EFC 55’s card and just how much there is to look forward to come Friday night: Groenewald vs Potts, a clash between heavyweight titans with exceptional ground game (Really expecting to see Potts find his pre-UFC form). Baggatin makes his return to the octagon for the first time in over a year taking on the undefeated BJJ specialist Cameron Pritchard, a fight in which one can expect fireworks.

All of these are phenomenal fights, but, one fight which should be on more people’s radars is Francois Groenewald vs Baldwin Mdlalose. Groenewald has found his feet again after a somewhat shaky few fights, with two back-to-back first round submissions. I’m backing the Cape Town boy to make it a hat-trick of first round submission stoppages (either by triangle or rear naked choke).

Supporting Don Madge I’m from Cape Town! Pick me to receive tickets and I will go to the event with a printed tshirt that has your details on it! What is better to describe EFC than “life is savage”, lifeissavage.com

I also think that Sayed might be able to stand and exchange strikes with Pena and come out the winner but I truly believe that Pena has better wresting and grappling and is stronger than Sayed. Both men are well conditioned so it could go the distance. I support Pena. Leon will destroy Mazany
