If a newspaper report is to be believed then the South African cricket team will in future only include 5 white players in the starting eleven. According to the Rapport, the CSA board discussed the new quota of 6 players of colour (2 of which must be black) last week after deciding to introduce targets for all national teams.
“The precise targets will depend on work to be undertaken by relevant committees to determine what is realistic and sustainable. This will be announced in due course,” he added. “We will aim to achieve our targets over the course of the year and not on a match by match basis.” [Sport24]
