Oh dear. The new Top Gear with Chris Evans and Matt LeBlanc isn’t having the best start with the recent second episode only getting about half the amount of viewers of the premier episode. It’s also getting slammed for being not nearly as entertaining as the original crew of Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond. So much so that a video yesterday of Clarkson assembling a small carboard box is getting better reviews than the new Top Gear.
It really is a boring video of Clarkson putting together a box, but fans are saying even that is better than the new Top Gear.
And while we are talking about the new Top Gear…
“The new series of Chris Evans’s new-look Top Gear has been caught up in more controversy amid claims “canned laughter” was inserted to cover up “awkward silences”.
Recordings of hysterical laughter are said to have been inserted into the first episode by producers when the audience failed to laugh at jokes by new presenters Chris Evans and Matt LeBlanc.” [Telegraph]
