Controversial Irish fighter, Conor McGregor, threw MMA fans into a frenzy yesterday after tweeting that he is retiring. Soon after the UFC released a statement that McGregor will no longer be fighting a re-match with Nate Diaz at UFC 200 on July 9 in Las Vegas. UFC president Dana White didn’t confirm McGregors retirement, but did say he won’t be fighting Diaz at UFC 200 because he didn’t want to do the press conference and promotional videos.
