UPDATE: It’s official…Netflix is now available in South Africa. It was just revealed at CES 2016 and will set you back $7.99 a month for the basic package. That’s around R126. Apparently Netflix is launching in South Africa in January 2016. Well that’s according to insider info and industry sources who reckon the video streaming service is gonna start offering its services to SA users.

At the beginning of the year a Netflix spokesperson said they would launch before the end of 2015, but that doesn’t look likely. Early 2016 is apparently when they will be giving South Africans the chance to Netflix and chill. Plenty rumours that they have been looking for staff in SA leading analysts to believe they will be launching soon.
