Two stowaways held onto the undercarriage of a plane from South Africa to London
Posted by on Jun 19th, 2015

Two people have made a crazy trip from South Africa to London by holding onto the undercarriage of a British Airways flight. The two men are believed to have snuck onto the BA flight from Johannesburg by climbing into the wheel recess before making the 12 000km journey. One of the suspected stowaways is believed to have fallen to his death as the plane approached Heathrow. His body was found on the roof of an office building in London. The other survived, but is in serious condition.

Nearly a 12 hour trip that.

Police say they are treating claims the man was a stowaway on the flight from Johannesburg as ‘one line of inquiry’.

Describing the case of the man who survived the flight, the police spokesman added: ‘We were alerted to reports of a suspected stowaway on a flight from Johannesburg to Heathrow.

‘A man, aged between 25 and 30 years, has been taken to a west London hospital. His condition remains serious. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the man’s identity.’ [Mail Online]
