You know those extra shoelace holes at the top of your sneakers? Here’s what they are for

Today’s learn-some-new-sh*t lesson comes courtesy of the footwear industry that kindly shed some light as to why there is an extra shoelace hole at the top of your running shoes. If you’re like me then you most likely had no idea why they were there and never bothered to ask, but a video is doing the rounds explaining the purpose of the mysterious holes. They are actually there as back up holes incase the real ones died of sadness because you’ve been tying your shoelaces wrong your whole life. No not really…they are there to make you shoes fit better by creating a heel lock.
