When was the last time you solved a Rubik’s Cube? And no it doesn’t count if you remove the stickers. For most people the Rubik’s Cube is an ongoing battle in frustration and ends with the inevitable sigh of defeat, but for others it’s a walk in the park with regular competitions to see who can solve it the quickest or even blindfolded. Well the geek brigade will be interested to know that a US teen has broken the world record and solved a Rubik’s Cube in a mindblowing 5.25 seconds. Yep..seconds.

Here’s the video. Brace yourself for those kids losing their sh*t.

Well done kid. Watch out for those Rubik’s Cube groupies.

“A new Rubik’s Cube world record of 5.25 has been set by an American teenager. Collin Burns was competing at a high school competition on Saturday when he broke the world record for the fastest time solving a 3x3x3 Rubik’s Cube.” [Wired]
