  • The Cape Times gloriously trolled Eskom with this street poster [pic]
Posted by on Jan 16th, 2015

We’re used to The Daily Voice throwing out some witty street posters, but it’s not often you see mainstream media having a go at some social commentary so let’s give a round of applause and a slow clap to the Cape Times for this glorious trolling of Eskom yesterday.

    See what they did there.

    Damn right Eskom are useless.

This caused an uproar and according to the twitter handle of Helen Zille, The Cape Times is due to apologise to Eskom today…

Since ‪loadshedding‬ has now become part of the everyday existence of people around the Globe and especially in SA, It’s disgraceful to see the street lights on the R44 around the N2 still switched on – and it’s 11:30 in the morning and I’m standing on the front porch overlooking the road. The latest news report on the radio again started with the headlines about loadshedding and how kak the system performs. It’s not winter time here where the sun has just risen and the weather affected the electrical switch-gear. Where’s Government’s responsibility to address these issues? And by Government, I’m referring to the local municipality.. SORT OUT THIS ELECTRICAL MESS !! or are you going to be switching off everyone’s electricity like you normally do because the system is under severe strain?
