  • Massive cobra spotted on Hout Bay beach [pics + video]
Posted by on Nov 10th, 2014

It’s been doing the rounds on social media, but if you missed it then check this big ass cobra spotted on Hout Bay beach over the weekend. Given the reaction you’d swear it was the biggest snake ever in the universe. Like the biggest, hugest, most massive, gigantically enormous, child eating cobra. Dunno what all the fuss is about, our government is full of snakes so people should be used this sh*t by now.

Anyways here’s a long black snake on a beach in Cape Town.

    Casual.

And then it went for a quick dip.

    Now you know.

The pics were apparently taken by Jeffrey Rink and posted online by Janice Wagner. Well done you two. Great pics and i read that they safely hearded the snake to safety. Outstanding stuff.

UPDATE: here’s video footage of them rescuing the snake…using the well documented lets-kick-sand-at-it-to-make-it-move technique.

    Well done brave woman.
