If you’re in advertising, marketing, PR and whatnot then you should be well aware that this past weekend saw the 36th annual Loerie Awards taking place and SA’s creative talent gathered in Cape Town to see who would walk away with bragging rights for 2014.
More than 200 awards were handed out over the weekend with top Grand Prix honours going to
- Grid Worldwide Branding (Pty) Ltd for Anti Est “Anti Est #Unlearn”, in Design Mixed-Media Campaign.
- One Kingdom Creative Studio for Mi-Fone “Oju Africa App”, in Digital & Interactive – Mobile Applications & Sites
- FCB South Africa (PTY) LTD for Coco-Cola South Africa “A rainbow for the Rainbow Nation”, in Outdoor Media.
- Ogilvy & Mather Johannesburg for Lucozade “Give me strength”

Other notable winners include Keith Rose, director and founding partner of Velocity, who was inducted into the Loeries Hall of Fame. The Adams & Adams Young Creatives Award went to Matthew Pullen and Freda Raubenheimer.
