It’s pretty standard nowadays for cyclists and in particular mountin bikers to have a GoPro filming their riding sessions and it provides for awesome footage of scenery and dramatic tricks or crashes. But only in South Africa will helmet cam footage from a GoPro capture an armed robbery. Malcolm Fox was riding in the Somerset West mountains over the weekend when he was stopped at gunpoint and forced to hand over his bike, cellphone and belongings. The entire incident was captured on his GoPro which the thieves didn’t bother taking.
Nice clear view of the dumbass robber there.
“MTB ride on Saturday 31st May 2014 from Ongegund, last few km’s before end of session. Armed gunman and 2 others stopped myself and took cellphone, car keys, oakleys and bike”
Hope they catch those guys.
