Ok so i’m not one of the lucky people actually going to Brasil this year to watch the Fifa World Cup. I’m too busy
nobody wants to send me working and stuff, but like most of you i’ll be watching on TV when the tournament kicks off on June 12. My money is on Belgium in case you’re wondering. Anyways i digress…for the next few weeks leading up the most watched televised event on the planet i’ll be bringing you some facts and figures courtesy of the good folks at SuperSport…because why, they have the channels with the best coverage obviously.
Now i’m not gonna give you the standard trivia…more out the box stuff and to kick things off here’s an infographic showing which brands sponsor which teams. Will appeal to you all you brand and marketing managers, ad agency folks and also sports fans who may not be aware that some of these brands even exist.
I won’t lie…have know idea who Burrda Sport are that sponsor Belgium. I had to Google it, but know i now.
Aside from the teams playing there is some huge bragging rights and of course a massive boost in sales for the brand sponsoring the winning side.
And if you aren’t heading to Brazil like moi, then you can watch every moment live and in HD on two dedicated SuperSport channels. Keep up to date with all the action and background info by following @SuperSportTV & @SuperSportBlitz.
