Up until this past weekend, no South African athlete has ever run under 10 seconds for the 100 meter sprint, but on Saturday Simon Magakwe changed all that and nailed a sub-10sec time at the South African Athletics Championships, in Pretoria. He clocked 9.98 breaking the old SA record of 10.06 seconds.
Says 9.99 on the clock, but his official time goes on record as 9.98 sec.
