The mobile network spat between Cell C and MTN has once again taken the public stage with MTN publishing a sarcastic full page letter to Cell C over the weekend on page 2 and 3 of the Sunday Times. This comes after Cell C’s cheeky radio ads Targeting MTN were withdrawn by the Advertising Standards Authority following complaints.

The MTN letter to Cell C focus on MTN claiming they are guilty.

Nice little comeback from MTN, an expensive one i’m guessing, but i like this public tiff hey. Especially if it ultimately results in consumers paying lower mobile network rates.

Carry on.

As an ex MTN customer, now Cell C customer (because they were cheaper) I have to agree with this ad. I’m stuck more without signal, than actually having signal. Going on holiday or a weekend breakaway you are guaranteed not to have signal. And for 7 days now I get a ‘not registered on network’ message at home (I work from home). No response from customer care.

If anybody considers moving from Cell C to MTN – DON’T
