So Eskom declared a power emergency this morning (6 march) and spokesman Andrew Etzinger said ‘there will be load shedding in different suburbs across the country,” that would likely last till 10pm tonight. Several neighbourhoods have already been affected and the reason given by Eskom is that seven days of heavy rain had left coal stocks wet.
