The Bugatti Veyron is no longer the fastest production car…this car just clocked 435.3km/h [video]
Posted by on Feb 25th, 2014

The reign of the Bugatti Veyron as the world’s fastest production car has come to an end with the US made Venom GT setting a new record of 435.2km/h. The Hennessey Venom GT test run was independently verified at 270.3 m/ph during a test run at the Kennedy Spce Centre in Florida. It beat the previous record of 431 km/h held by the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport.

world record

And here is the record breaking run.

While it was independently verified the record hasn’t made it into the Guinness World record books just yet since they needed to do two runs in opposite directions.

So actually it isn’t the fastest car just yet, but so what MERICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! are claiming it.

Well, you should also remember that it’s a Lotus Elise Chassis (yes, the Brits) with some monster American Muscle squeezed into it.

just like the Cobra.

Also, why should Bugatti bother to squeeze a few extra Kms out of the Bug, until the record is threatened. (Threatened, not broken -yet.)
Also, see how long it takes before this achievement is washed away.
