Meanwhile in the North West Province of SA…
there are crazy people. Some guy says he prayed to God and prevented load shedding during the 2010 Soccer World Cup. And he wants compensation for his divine act so he is suing Eskom for R250 million, but he’ll also settle for a stake in the company.
His claim will be heard in court on Thursday.
“In a letter to Eskom he said the main reason for load shedding was lightning and wind, and that he had taken it upon himself to pray to God and ask that no power cuts take place.
As a result, Eskom now owes him R250 million, because he saved the power utility the burden and humiliation of load shedding.” [TimesLIVE]
I’d love to see that letter.
Good luck with that pal.
