  • South African ID book name fail of the day [pic]
Posted by on Jan 10th, 2014

Ok so it’s Friday and i’m a tad busy so amuse yourself with this South African ID book name fail i spotted yesterday. Our Afrikaans meisie wanted to make sure her ID was correct so she filled out the application form with an instruction to make sure the ‘i’ at the end of her name had an accent. She included ‘let op na strepie op i’ (take note of the accent on the ‘i’) and of course the folks at home affairs did this.

    Glorious.

Slowclap of the day for home affairs. Well played.

Hahaha, not the first time I’ve seen something like this, good to see Home Affairs is staying consistent with their service!

Must have been fun going through live with that name.

Parents who give their children names that need to be spelled out each time should be shot.
Give your kid a normal name, with normal spelling. How hard is that.
