#Underdog has been saved! A dog which miraculously survived the 200 meter drop into Kimberley’s Big Hole has been successfully rescued.
I don’t normally post anything on weekends, but i’m making an exception for this good news story. The dog, dubbed #Underdog by social media, had apparently been seen at the bottom of the Kimberley Big Hole for 8 days and initial rescue efforts had failed because of instability of the area around the hole and a lack of ropes long enough to make the descent. Earlier today though 7 rescuers made their way to the bottom and hoisted the stranded dog to safety.
Outstanding effort from the rescuers at ER24 EMS, SAPS Search and Rescue. And everyone else who had a part in getting the dog to safety. Well done guys.
Heartwarming story of the day.
