Bet Coke wished they thought of this comeback to Pepsi’s Halloween ad [pic]

Here’s some creative win for you advertising folks. The well documented marketing rivalry between Coca Cola and Pepsi got interesting last week when Pepsi posted an image of one of it’s cans wearing a Coca Cola cape as a Halloween costume. Cheeky tactics and it got mixed reviews in the ad world. Coke never officially responded, but someone posted a rather brilliant comeback on their behalf.

Here’s the original Pepsi print ad.

And here’s the unofficial response from Coca Cola posted on 9gag.

Um, did anyone notice that in the original ad, it’s Cola-Coca not Coca-Cola?

Ya for copyright reasons they can’t actually name the product. Also why pepsi is obscured

The ad agency that created this Pepsi Halloween commercial should be tarred and feathered and run out of town for this “trainwreck”.

Anyone with half a brain could anticipate Coke’s response. Plus, look at the unintentional (yet free) advertising Coke received, thanks to the deep pockets of Pepsi and the poorly thought out Pepsi Halloween campaign.

It begs the question, who was the ad agency REALLY working for?
