  • Creator of Baywatch is shooting a new series on Camps Bay beach in CT [trailer]
Posted by on Oct 24th, 2013

You know that new blue and white building on Camps Bay beach…on the left side in front of the Pick n Pay? I get plenty of folks asking what it is and why it’s there. Well wonder no more because it’s a semi-permanent set for a new series by the creator of Baywatch. Gregory J Bonnann is shooting the new series called SAF3 about the Malibu Fire Department. Ya…a new series about the lives of fire fighters in California…but shot on Camps Bay and around Cape Town. No idea how the SA part ties in with South Africa, but im told it’s pronounced ‘safe’. Don’t ask…my sh*t is just as confused.

And they have a trailer! Be warned:  looks kak alert.

Ok maybe i was a tad harsh that it looks kak. After all apparently it will create 200 jobs and bring in R160 million to the economy. I also hear that the Camps Bay municipality is asking to keep the set and use it as lifeguard HQ.

    Good idea.

Can we keep the actresses from the series as lifeguards as well? Hey look Camps Bay toilets in the background there.

Was that Dolff Lundgren there? Lifeguard/FireFighter B grade TV shows, where careers go to die.

Hopefully our women are SEXIER in the newer episodes 😀
