• Win 2 sets of double tickets to Vodacom In the City in JHB with Jose Cuervo
Posted by on Sep 21st, 2013

It’s no secret that i love tequila and festivals. Put the two together and bam…we have good times. Everyone knows that i spoil you Life is Savage readers in Cape Town, but i reckon i should show the Joburg folks some love for a change. By now you will have heard of Vodacom In the City in JHB on October 4th. The line-up includes Skunk Anansie, The Hives, alt-j, Boys Noize and more who will be rocking Mary Fitzgerald Square in Newtown. As one of the main sponsors my man Jose Cuervo wants to see you there and has given me 2 sets of double tickets to give away to you fine folks. Not only that, but you can also win a Fender guitar away, signed by all the international acts of In the City 2013. How rad is that!

    Sound good..well then keep reading.

    vodacom in the city

Right..i know you wanna see those bands live hey.

Now here’s the drill. I’ll be giving away a set of two tickets on Twitter and another set to someone who leaves a comment beneath this post. To stand a chance to win a set of double tickets you can do one of those two things or both to maximise your chances.

    ” I’d love to win double tickets to the #VITC2013 festival with @JoseCuervoSA and @lifeissavage . #PartyAnimals “

    As easy as that.

    • Secondly you can leave a comment beneath this post telling me which band you are most amped to see at the Vodacom In The City 2013 festival. Click HERE to see the line-up.

Ok now thats how you can win the double tickets, but you can also win golden tickets on the Jose Cuervo Facebook page HERE.

And then there’s that Fender guitar signed by all the international acts…that is a one-of-a-kind prize and worth some proper tin. You’re gonna have to put in some extra effort though to stand a chance and win that bad boy. To enter that competition you will need to show Jose Cuervo what a party animal you are by tweeting a photo of you or your mates at the Vodacom In the City festival and using the #PartyAnimals hashtag.

Think out the box and make sure your pic stands out…like these party animals.

Ha…there’s a few more of those examples floating around on the interwebs.

Right thats all you need to know for now. Will keep you updated.

Get involved and i’ll pick winners for my double tickets competition next week Friday.

UPDATE: competition closed. Tickets go to Marius Venter. Thanks everyone for entering. Wish i could give you all tickets.

Before I say which band I would love to watch I would really like to tell a quick tale. I have been a born and bred JHB guy, who in July moved to CT to become an awesome CT guy. Who at this very moment is back in JHB studying for my Masters exam (as I was crazy enough to start this year on a 3 year long journey on the road to enlightenment… at the moment all I can say about the subject is Meh). So I’m in JHB for 3 week and it so happens that all of my JHB friends are going to the Vodacom in the City concert on 4 October, what is even better is that on the 4th of October I write the last of my 4 tests for this year. What better way to celebrate the end of a year of hard work than with my awesome buddies and Jose Cuervo at the Vodacom in the City Concert listening to the legendary British band SKUNK ANANSIE, thanks to the awesome tickets I won through the LifeIsSavage.com?

Skank Anansie undoubtedly the draw card for us. Husbands favourite, in fact he introduced me to ‘em. Been a bit of a crazy #PartyAnimal lately, tickets would unashamedly score me brownie points.

Do I have to choose a favourite? Okay, so Skunk Anansie brings back awesome memories, but I’m really keen to see Al Bairre. Their profile seems really really interesting and I’m always up for something new and different.

I would love to see the Hives live, their music is epic and with Cuervo in the presence, it would definitely take it to the next level. The rest of the line-up is pretty cool as well.
