It rained a lot in Cape Town…even the Strand beach front flooded [pics]

So if you’re in Cape Town today you will be well aware that it is raining again this morning…much like it did the whole of yesterday and several days before that. I see lots of people up north shaking their heads that Capetonians are complaining about the wet conditions like they’ve never seen rain before, but just so you highveld people know it’s actually been pretty significant. Almost twice the average amount of rain has already fallen in Cape Town this winter. Last month 168mm was recorded compared the average 85.3mm. And winter is not over with more rain expected. The max temp today is 11 degrees with a possible low of 4 degrees. Spring my ass.

The Strand near Gordon’s Bay has in the last week recieved more rain than it normally does for the whole month. So much in fact that the beach front has completely flooded.

Cpt never has spring as such…. When its supposed to be spring the weather gets colder… I call it Winter’s Last Revenge…. We get it for about two or three weeks in september and it starts warming up in October…
