In a bid to get the first foot in the door of the smartwatch market, Sony have launched their new wearable tech, the Smartwatch 2, that’s capable of making calls, reading email, social networking and taking photo’s. And it’s water resistant.
I’m still not sold on the idea of a smart watch hey.
“As rumors surrounding Apple’s “iWatch” continue to swirl, Sony on Tuesday debuted the second version of its connected wristwatch. Dubbed SmartWatch 2, Sony’s new device features a 1.6-inch LCD display and a suite of apps including Facebook, Twitter, Gmail, a feed reader, Weather and more. The watch connects to Sony’s Android smartphones and is capable of displaying things like SMS, MMS, missed call notifications and other data on the display,” [BGR]
Ya…1.6 inch display? I’m guessing that there are plenty of of people who are gonna end up with eye problems later in life.
