Stellenbosch has banned car guards
Posted by on Jun 10th, 2013

The Stellenbosch municipality has decided to ban car guards after complaints from the general public regarding abusive behaviour towards owners of vehicles. This coupled with allegations of criminal activity has resulted in the night shift car guards being banned while the dayshift workers have been informed that their contracts would not be renewed. The Stellenbosch municipality said anyone operating as a car guard would be arrested.

Police said the measure is only temporary until a new system is implemented.

“According to Van Wyk, after discussions between police and law enforcement of the Stellenbosch municipality, it was decided that the car guard system would be put on hold – with a view to appointing a service provider to take over the responsibility.

Once a new system was implemented, Van Wyk said, anyone performing duty as a car guard would be prosecuted in terms of the municipal by-laws.” [iol]

I reckon this is gonna be rather controversial hey.

Could it happen in central Cape Town?

There was NEVER a course at school or varsity for it, so why are there?

If people need jobs, let them do construction.

Let them fix the shitty areas the poor have to endure daily …

Let them fix the highways…

Let them fix the buildings that are in shit-mode !
