  • Official NSA slide from PRISM programme showing how crazy U.S. electronic surveillance is [pic]
Posted by on Jun 10th, 2013

Right…not sure if you’re aware, but last week a top secret US government surveillance programme, PRISM, was leaked to the media. The whistleblower, 29 year old Edward Snowden, has blown he lid off how the US National Security Agency is allowed to electronically monitor individuals without their knowledge. The programme was authorized by federal judges in 2007 and allows the NSA access to the servers of major companies like Google, Apple, Facebook, Skype etc. who have partnered with the NSA .

And what is the NSA able to access…well take a look at this official slide that was used to brief analysts. It’s pretty mindblowing when you think how much access they have to information on citizens.

    Crazy.

“The National Security Agency and the FBI are tapping directly into the central servers of nine leading U.S. Internet companies, extracting audio and video chats, photographs, e-mails, documents, and connection logs that enable analysts to track foreign targets, according to a top-secret document obtained by The Washington Post.

The program, code-named PRISM, has not been made public until now.”[Washington Post]

No doubt similar programmes exist in other governments worldwide.

Big Brother is watching you. For realsies.

I am not at all surprised by this, it has been shown in so many movies and television shows. What was an urban myth has now been proven to be true. But I doubt its half the story. Sure this Snowden guy blew the whistle on prism that has been built by the NSA BUT the NSA is not the only organisation that has something that taps into everyones lives. The CIA and FBI also has it. And the only way that the US government allowed this leak to happen is because they have something else much bigger to hide.
I’m not a conspiracy nutter, but that is the truth. There is no way that this 28 year old guy could have done what he did on his own.
