Brilliant anti-abuse ad only visible to kids under 10 [pic + video]
Posted by on May 7th, 2013

A Spanish organization came up with the following brilliant anti-abuse ad specifically aimed at young children using a special printing technique. Adults see an image of an unbruised boy with the message “Sometimes child abuse is only visible to the child suffering it”. The same image includes a part visible to only children under 10 years old and shows a picture of bruised and bleeding boy and includes the message “If somebody hurts you, phone us and we’ll help you” along with a telephone number.

The top image shows the ad on it’s own, the bottom left is what adults see and bottom right is what kids under a certain height see.

And here’s a video showing how it works and how they did it.

Outstanding that.

“A new ad campaign in Spain aimed at combating child abuse is raising awareness in the most public way it knows how: posters of abused children displayed to the masses. There is a catch, though — only children can see the abused faces. Reaching a kid who is a victim of abuse can be difficult. Often, a child is accompanied by his or her abuser, which can make verbalizing the presence of abuse that much scarier.” [Yahoo]

Well done to everyone involved and hope it helps someone.
