An hour long documentary on Oscar Pistorius: What Really Happened? airs on BBC 3 tonight and it includes comments from a close family friend saying Oscar is a broken man and “could be on the verge of suicide”. The programme is presented by Rick Edwards, who covered Pistorius’s gold-medal winning, world -breaking achievements at the London 2012 Paralympics and it features interviews with friends of both the victim and the accused. According to the show’s description it will show “special 3-D graphics, sworn testimony and exclusive interviews, the film attempts to give the most complete picture yet of what may have happened in Oscar Pistorius’s apartment in the early hours of February 14th.”
I couldn’t find a preview for the BBC airing this evening, but ABC 2 is showing a documentary with the same title on Wednesday and they have a preview. Not entirely sure if its the same programme, but it seems likely.
And some more details to be revealed in the documentary.
“Model Reeva Steenkamp met her ex-boyfriend two days before she was gunned down, it will be claimed in a television show to be aired tonight.”
“In the same documentary family friend Mike Azzie, who has known the athlete since he was a child and who trained racehorses for the star, said the sportsman was a ‘broken man’ after he was tasked with selling his racehorses to raise money to pay for spiralling legal fees.” [Mail Online]
Will get the full documentary afetr it airs for those who don’t have access to BBC 3.
