Zimbabwe finance minister: only $217 left in government bank account
Posted by on Jan 30th, 2013

Think your bank balance is looking a bit bleak this month? Well spare a thought for Zimbabwe because the minister of finance told journalists yesterday that there was only $217 left in the government public account.

And as he said that Mugabe shouted ‘mine’. Not really, but we all know that’s what the f**ker was thinking hey.

Seriously…is there a bigger asswipe in world politics than that moron? Such a tragedy letting a once great nation slide to the point where it has only R1900 left in the state bank account. All within the space of a decade.

This from the fince minister, Tendai Biti, yesterday.

“Last week when we paid civil servants there was $217 (left) in government coffers,” Biti told journalists in the capital Harare, claiming some of them had healthier bank balances than the state.

“The government finances are in paralysis state at the present moment. We are failing to meet our targets.”

Zimbabwe’s economy went into free-fall at the turn of the millennium, after President Robert Mugabe began seizing white-owned farms.” [iol]

Oh and what does Mugabe have to say about that?

Nobody knows because they couldn’t find him in his R50 million , 25 bedroom mansion.
