SA petrol price set to increase by more than 40c/l in February
Posted by on Jan 30th, 2013

The weak Rand and global rise in the price of crude oil will likely result in the price of petrol in South Africa increasing up to 40 cents per litre or more in February…possibly by next Wednesday. The department of energy is set to announce the new prices on Friday.

And as is customary on Life is increase in the petrol price means this pic makes yet another appearance.

Ya boet.

“The depreciation of the rand exchange rate coupled with higher oil prices are responsible for the increases. The expected substantial rise in the price of petrol is likely to erode the disposable income of consumers and will have impact on inflation.

Within the new Consumer Price Index basket, which will be released next month, the weighting of petrol within the overall CPI will increase from nearly 4% to almost 6%.” [SABC]

Yay……..[insert your own swear word here]
