  • Giveaway: 2 Monk’s Chinese meals from the new menu…the best Chinese food in Cape Town

    Right…remember a while back i told you the one of the best kept culinary secrets in Cape Town was Monk’s Chinese food? Well since then the word has spread and it’s pretty much standard that if you want top quality Chinese food delivered to your doorstep then best you call Monks.They only deliver and you can’t actually go there, but then let the lack of a restaurant fool you. The food is delicious and i’m here to let you now they are trying something new…first off: they’ve added 3 cup sticky ribs and fresh veg rolls with genius sauce permanently onto the menu. Boom! Secondly: every month they are going to offer two new dishes on a rolling system which will be advertised on Facebook and twitter. This month they’ve added 3 cup sticky chicken and chicken Kung po to the menu and i’m giving away 2 Beijing deals for folks to try. Keen?

    So lets get to it…what exactly will you be getting in the Beijing deals i’m throwing your way….each deal consists of two medium meals and normal side (that’s steamed rice, egg fried rice or smokey noodles). That’s plenty i assure you.

    1) One of the Beijing meals is gonna go to someone on Twitter who tweets the following:

    ” Hey @lifeissavage ,i love me some #MonksChinese i wanna try the new menu “

    And while you’re busy sending out that tweet give them a follow as well @MonksChinese . Karma will reward you for not being a douchebag.

    2) The other Beijing deal will go to someone who leaves a comment under this post telling me how awesome Monk’s Chinese is or will be when it’s goodness touches your lips.

    You know, I’m ashamed to admit that I’ve not tried Monk’s food yet. But, in my defense, I’ve been away on holiday. So, help a girl out and take my tastebuds to a place they’ve never been. I know it’ll change them forever.

    When Monk’s Chinese’s goodness touches your lips, it’s like when Unicorns and Pegasi do synchronised swimming in a Scissor Sisters music video that you are watching from a lilo in the middle of the ocean. Except the ocean is made of Fresca and the lilo is Jude Law.

    One night you tweeted a pic of your Monks meal and I immediately googled them, phoned and placed my order. I paid R40! I had a mini food baby AND leftovers! Best part? That meal tasted better than the night before ready after. An awesome meal which isn’t too heavy on the pocket either. Monks Chinese: a value for money!

    I can’t afford the luxury of travel to Beijing – please indulge me the grandeur of tasting the cuisine :)
    I shall most certainly be Monk’s biggest advocate in promoting the convenience of delivered Chinese cuisine…
