Cape Town business meeting in upmarket office block turns ugly leaving two men shot dead
Posted by on Jul 27th, 2012

A business meeting in the Cape Town city center yesterday clearly didn’t go well after police confirmed that two of the people involved were shot dead.

The incident happened at the Basileus Capital office in the Icon building on the corner of Hans Strijdom and Long Street and apparently involved business partners.

Wonder what the meeting was about.

“On Thursday afternoon, police responded to the shooting in the third floor offices of Basileus Capital in the Icon building. They cordoned off the third floor for a few hours and no one was allowed in or out while they combed the scene.

Inside the offices they found the body of the 37-year-old. He had been shot in the heart and neck.

The other man had been shot in the head, but was alive when police arrived at the scene. He died later in hospital, they said.” [iol]

When police read the minutes of the meeting, the final entry was:

“There being no further business, the meeting was adjurned.”
