• The legendary 100 Club in London and Converse is looking for SA talent
Posted by on Jul 2nd, 2012

If you’re a musician then you will know doubt recognise The 100 Club in London…the legendary institution is resposible for hosting some of the most influential artists in the world since way back in 1942. Countless bands have shot to fame after playing at the venue and unsigned South African artists will have the epic chance to play there later this year.

Converse along with The 100 Club London are searching for SA talent and if you’re an unsigned band/artist you can now show the world what you’re made of.  Upload your best original song and a short biography via the Facebook app http://on.fb.me/getoutofthegarage. The judges (Zulu Boy, John Savage and Garick Williams) will then narrow down the entries to SA’s top 10 unsigned artists.

Once the top 10 are chosen,  Converse will then showcase these acts on Facebook, where South Africa can vote for their favourites and have the chance to join their favourite band VIP style for the gig.

If you know any bands that are unsigned and should be included don’t hestitate to tell about this hey. Could be their big break and one day you can say you were responsible for launching their career.

For more info visit www.facebook.com/converse and be  sure to follow the conversation on Twitter @Converse_Africa and with the #Play100Club hashtag. Entries close 8th of July and winners will be announced on August 6th 2012.

    Good times.
