First off let me just say that this is not a punt or am i being paid to say this, but i just wanted to publically thank Incredible Connection and in particular the staff at the V&A Waterfront branch for some amazing service.
It’s not often that i return anything to a store so i can’t actually say if this is a common occurance, but in November 2011 i purchased a 1.5 terabyte external hard drive from Incredible Connection at the Waterfront. The drive recently failed and after several scans by my tech savvy mates they let me know that basically the drive was unusable. I took the drive back today with just the gift card i bought it with as proof of purchase. Well that wasn’t enough, but a very helpful staff member went through the list of people who bought that drive in the timeframe i provided and located my purchase. The instore technical guy had a look at the drive and came to the conclusion that i was indeed not working and within minutes i was told i could chose a new one. Unfortunately they didn’t have a similar drive in stock nor did they have any other 1.5 terabyte drives available. To my absolute amazement i was told they they would replace it with a 2 TB drive, that was more expensive..at no extra cost to me.
I don’t know about you, but sh*t like this never happens to me. I’m thoroughly impressed by the service i recieved and if anyone in management at Incredible Connection reads this then you have my support and know that you should give your staff at the V&A a call and tell them they did a great job.
I know this is rather random thing to post on Life is Savage, but hey i felt like they deserved credit for some excellent service so i’m showing them some public love.
We need more of this in SA.
