If you havn’t seen the brilliant advertising exchange between Nando’s and Santam this week then you must have been living under a rock because it pretty much dominated the media over the last few days. Advertising and marketing at it’s best.
Basically, Santam made a commercial…Nando’s made a spoof of that commercial and then Santam created an absolutely brilliant response HERE, challenging the flame grilled chicken makers to deliver a list of food items from their menu to the Johannesburg Children’s Home and the deadline was today.
Well Nando’s has made good on that challenge and took it a step further…here’s their just released video response.
Outstanding work Nando’s.
Not only did they deliver the full list, they have promised to do so every month for the next year.
Nando’s South Africa Marketing Director, Quinton Cronje, had this to say: “We responded to the challenge – and we responded fast, ahead of the time and day that had been specified. All that’s left to say is well-played all round.”
